Mar 22,  · This is especially true for those areas of the country subject to severe winters. Snow, sleet, frost, rain, wind and even heat have very little effect upon metal. Metal also does not absorb moisture or promote the growth of mold or fungus, both of which can destroy a home’s framing and can pose health hazards to the occupants.

Heat of course make them sloppy and tend to warp, plastic material can react to temperature change, i'd say cold temperature are good for vinyl. But may be excessive. However being below 0 indoor i think its difficult unless you have cardboard walls, watch out for humidity and mould instead.

Apr 13,  · The winters are grey with very few full days of sunshine. The summers can be hot but nowhere near as long and not like parts of CA. Many older homes will not have air conditioning (ours doesn't) and we have to have a window roll around one for the upper floor of our split level house. I cannot stand heat so adding AC will happen next spring.

May 18,  · This is an excellent double LP for the winter season because record 1 contains a nice blend of frosty hits, and record 2 contains a mix of lovely Christmas songs. I quite enjoy this double LP since it has that extra something special to listen to after the festivities are over and you still have to endure the cold for a few months ahead.5/5(2).

Feb 20,  · Vinyl is tough, its used for house & building siding so you're not going to hurt it just by cold temperature exposure. Widely fluctuating temperature is harder on the cardboard and paper that the vinyl itself (and that goes for CD inserts too). Expansion/contraction/expansion/contraction oxidizes & weakens the fibers.
